Abstract
There is no strict definition of what constitutes a high spinal. Variations include a block above the level required for surgical anaesthesia, a block above the level of the T4 dermatome, and an excessively high block requiring tracheal intubation usually associated with profound hypotension/cardiovascular collapse.
