Abstract

In this chapter, the Precambrian to Pliocene magmatic rocks of Iran have been described. The distribution of igneous rocks in all parts of Iran is demonstrated in a map. Magmatic rocks have been described and analyzed in all structural zones of Iran, while the regions of their occurrence have been described and analyzed separately. Magmatic rocks of Iran except ophiolites and Quaternary intrusive and volcanic masses have been discussed in this chapter in terms of petrography, magmatic series, tectonic environment and the geodynamic model of igneous rocks have been analyzed for each geologic period and region.
