Abstract
In this chapter, we provide anonymous case studies in performance improvement to help the reader understand how these principles function in the real world. We also provide some of the forms and templates I use in my trauma program. The cases involve mortalities, specific clinical conditions, and other opportunities. The cases are presented as a narrative, description of PI process, and critique. While the way in which these cases were handled is not a gold standard, it does provide the reader with food for thought concerning how to evaluate and address the problems evident in these case narratives.
