Abstract
This chapter examines media coverage in the United States regarding the North Korean nuclear issue. The chapter especially focuses on coverage reporting on the war of words between President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and then the surprising turn toward warmer relations that led to attempts to resolve the crisis through diplomacy. The coverage is examined as a form of media diplomacy intended to influence domestic and international audiences.
