Abstract

With continued advancement in resolution and imaging techniques, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become one of the main diagnostic and staging tools for pancreatic adenocarcinoma. High soft tissue contrast and sensitivity for detecting lymph node, liver, vascular, or peritoneal involvement of the disease makes MRI an ideal imaging tool for surgical and treatment planning. In this chapter, MRI techniques and MRI characteristics of pancreatic adenocarcinoma will be introduced.
