The prevalence of obesity has risen dramatically in the last decades. Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass has proven to be a safe and effective weight-loss procedure with good long-term outcomes in morbidly obese patients. This chapter provides a detailed step by step description of the operation, highlighting surgical tips that are key for the success of the procedure.
