Case Study on COVID-19 Scenario over Highly Affected States of India

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 has posed the greatest threat to the world in terms of health and economy. Countries all over the world have acquired different measures to contain COVID-19 spread. Present study focuses on compilation of measures taken by Government of India to fight COVID-19 in major affected states of India.

Objectives: To study and compile measures taken by the Government of India to fight COVID-19 in major affected states of India.

Methodology: In highly affected states of India like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, healthcare facilities and challenges are studied along with Indian government policies to control the spread.

Result: It is observed that there was lack of healthcare infrastructure and access to healthcare facilities to one and all. With all the challenges, Indian government has taken very effective state-wise measures to contain COVID-19 infection.

Conclusion: With all the challenges like vast population, limited healthcare infrastructure, limited healthcare workers, India has achieved better control over COVID-19 as seen from the current and forecasting for statistics. India has improved cure rate by effective strategies.
