Abstract
The present chapter makes an attempt to study women’s economic activities viewing it from a feminist standpoint. Women’s contribution to economy, especially of the small artisans as well as of the business elite, became the main topics. In this attempt, time and space were the two crucial points. This chapter also reveals that female participation in family business endeavors was strong though hushed in most cases. Women were the silent workers who contributed a lot to their family finances and their contribution was taken for granted.
