Abstract
Tubal factor infertility represents the most common cause of infertility in women. Most cases are due to salpingitis and consequent pelvic-peritoneal adhesions secondary to previous or persistent infections. Computed tomography virtual hysterosalpingography (CT-VHSG) offers reliable information of the fallopian tubes based on the high temporal and spatial resolution of the method. Variable slab-thickness MIP images and three-dimensional MIP views accurate depict the fallopian tube anatomy, morphology and patency in a single imaging study.
