Abstract
This paper aims at analyzing actions taken by courier service operators following the concept of CSR. The author compares activities related to the reduction in air pollution and road traffic, mostly in highly urbanized areas. This is a particularly important topic taking into account the increase in the number of courier shipments related, e.g., to the development of e-commerce market. The analysis regarding the CSR concept implementation methods among courier service operators rendering services on the European market will help indicate changes in the area of postal service sustainable development. The research methods applied in this study include inter alia the critical analysis of literature as well as evaluation and comparison of secondary research results from various sources. The character of research work is illustrative.
