Abstract
Children with congenital anomalies of the upper extremity (CAUE) present a somewhat uncommon area of management in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Rehabilitation management of the upper limb-deficient patient is generally best served in a larger academic-based institution where there is greater experience treating these patients. But for many patients, travel to those centers might be an unrealistic option. Thus, rehabilitation specialists in remote areas also need to have familiarity with the rehabilitation management of the upper limb patient.
