Abstract

The object of study is a system for remote monitoring of the navigational situation and the status of ship control systems. The existing systems of remote ship monitoring and possible data transmission channels of such systems are analyzed. A variant of a remote monitoring system using a video recorder in the onboard subsystem is proposed; it is a good solution for small vessels. The proposed solution is flexible. The monitoring system is based on the principle of a local network; it allows changing its configuration. The system allows transmission of video data, and it is a low-cost one. Modeling of the developed system is carried out. A monitoring system stand using a Wi-Fi data channel is manufactured. The stand was experimentally investigated. The study confirmed the prospects of the proposed structure of the monitoring system.
