Abstract
As a medical student on clinical rotations, one of the most burning questions is, “what do my evaluators look for?” Evaluations are not the most important aspect of why students strive to do well on rotations but it is, for better or worse, a significant variable that shapes and determines our future careers. These evaluations (as part of the dean’s letter or recommendation letters) are among the most important elements for residency applications, so students should work hard to achieve excellent evaluations.
