Abstract
The paper presents an improved mathematical model by V.S. Kovalev and M.L. Surguchev for prompt assessment of the oil reservoir waterflooding. It proposes an original method for the stream line building to transform a well system flow in a curved gallery flow. The model is based on two methods: the stream-tube method and the curved gallery method. A comparison of the values acquired from the proposed model-based calculation with those computed with a commercial hydrodynamic simulator confirms the satisfactory precision of the method from the practical point of view.
