Abstract
This chapter introduces the notion of exvisible intensity. This is done in the framework of finite point processes not only because the theory is easier than in the general case, but also because this restriction fulfills the needs of many applications, in ecology and elsewhere. Although the theory of exvisible intensity for spatial point processes may be at first sight considered an extension of the theory of stochastic intensity on the line (due to a few formal analogies that will be exhibited later), it belongs in fact to the Palm theory in space of Chapter 8. However, a more elementary approach is adopted in this chapter.
