Abstract
In which, we introduce the tools of choice: Prover9 and Mace4. Prover9 searches for proofs; Mace4, for finite models of a given theory. The sentences they operate on could be written in propositional, first-order, or equational logic. We introduce the basic features of Prover9 and Mace4 to equip reader to run and understand the implementations in the following chapters.
