Abstract

The BEDIT manual consists of 13 modules and was originally intended for a 12-month group therapy in a closed group setting (fixed composition of participants, fixed beginning, and conclusion of the therapy) with weekly sessions (altogether approx. 45–50) each lasting two hours. Each session is led by two therapists and is carried out with a minimum of five and maximum of ten participants per group. Some locations within the prevention network, however, opt to conduct sessions in a semi-open group setting (flexible beginning and end of the therapy with mandatory participation and participants can be in different stages of treatment) or in an individual setting. In these cases, the manual is adapted accordingly.
