Abstract
Who can assert with certainty that “natural” remedies are safe for health? How can we be sure that a food supplement will not provoke toxicity, side effects, or allergies? How can we certify that a psychotherapy does not hide a sectarian strategy? How can we avoid abuses of companies? Is it enough to say that a medicine or a diet is traditional as seen on TV? Who knows if there has been interference with medications? How can we be certain of the regulation, duty, and specific training of professionals? Nothing can guarantee the zero risk of health solutions without prior research. No clinical validation standards exist for non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs). No monitoring procedure is instituted. No safety controls are established. No market access procedure is deployed. The offering of non-biomedical products looks like a jungle. The best meets the worst. Danger is everywhere.
