Abstract

MPI was originally developed for C, C++ and Fortran. In practice these programming platforms are still the most common. Based on the discussion in the last chapter, we briefly sketch how to implement message passing in C/C++. Actually, we mainly concentrate on C, since on a basic level, message passing relies on elementary C concepts such as pointers and arrays.
