Abstract
This final chapter will give an overview of the diversity of human forms of communication. It will discuss possible criteria to distinguish between them. As a navigational aid, we developed a bespoke flowchart for the identification of different communication forms.

5. Social presence is the feeling of being aware of the presence of others in a mediated (communication) situation.

6. Statements are public; the message is usually disseminated via media; its dissemination is usually indirect; communication is usually one-way; and the recipients are perceived as a dispersed audience.
