Abstract
Introduction provides an overview of the book, introducing the major biological, psychological, social, cultural, historical, and existential themes that will be further developed in the rest of the chapters. In particular, the concept of fulfilling ageing is defined and explained here as a central idea that links together the various aspects of ageing addressed in this book.
