Abstract
Pathologic lesions of the nose and paranasal sinuses can be broadly divided into those that present externally visible on the nose; those that present within the nasal cavity typically with associated nasal obstruction and/or nasal discharge; and those that present in the bony craniofacial skeleton with deformity. External nasal lesions are easily seen but may require imaging if there is concern about deeper extension. The intranasal lesions are usually identified by anterior rhinoscopy and nasendoscopy, and imaging is usually needed to determine extent in relationship to the sinuses. Those lesions that involve the craniofacial skeleton may in some cases only be identifiable through imaging, as they may not extend intra- or extranasally.
