Abstract

The study shows the evolutionary development of business models. Initially, works considered certain aspects of business functioning (management, marketing, etc.). As a result, they were interconnected, which led to the use of an integrated approach to understanding business models. Nowadays, the main influence on them is provided by economic digitalization. The main components of the business model and the factors influencing it are identified. The technologies used in individual industries, stimulating the development of the business, increasing its strategic flexibility, and saving resources are shown. The inclusion of technologies as a component of the business model and the formation of a technology portfolio is proposed. It will allow the company to gain a competitive advantage in the market and increase its value for the investor.
