Abstract
A unique bio 3D printer has been created using a specific type of scaffolding that can be configured to produce unique tissue configurations. The work described led to the development of an automated bio 3D printer known by the commercial name Regenova, a comprehensively capable system which can be utilized in both research and commercial industrial tissue engineering applications. The chapter provides a step-by-step descriptions of (1) the research and developmental work done by Dr. Nakayama, (2) the functions of Regenova and the operation outlines, and (3) the system developed by Shibuya Corporation, which can consistently produce cell constructs from expansion cultures with an isolator system without any contamination risk.
