Intracorporeal Anastomosis

Abstract

This chapter aims to give the reader a succinct insight of the current perspectives in right colon resection. Unfolding controversies are discussed including standardization of surgical technique, indications for medial-to-lateral and lateral-to medial mobilization, isoperistaltic and antiperistaltic anastomotic configuration, intracorporeal and extracorporeal anastomosing, stapled handsewn techniques, robotic intracorporeal suturing, and specimen extraction sites.
