Chile, the country for which this book was prepared, is located on the southwestern region of South America, between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes. This profile briefly describes the main features of the country, including its geographical and climatic attributes, as well as general aspects about its administration, demography and economy. Finally, water resources availability, uses, and some challenges are introduced.
