Abstract

I did not make up this section title myself. In fact, it is the title of a book by the renowned robotics researcher Ronald Arkin, which has the dubious distinction of been nominated for the 2009 Diagram prize, a British award celebrating the most bizarre book titles from the previous year (Arkin 2009). For those who may be interested, the winning title that year was Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes by Daina Taimina, with Collectible Spoons of the Third Reich by James A. Yannes also getting an honourable mention.
