Abstract
This chapter will identify and draw on guidance available for researchers to explain the six key components of patient and public involvement (PPI) in research and how they can be implemented in practice. It will consider in particular:
-
The principles of patient and public involvement in research
-
Who to involve
-
When to involve them
-
How to involve them
-
The practicalities of involvement
