Abstract

According to recent research, NMs fuel additives exhibit a promising potential to improve various aspects of diesel engines. To provide more insight into this exciting and challenging development, this book offers a comprehensive review on recent investigations related to NMs-enriched fuels usage in diesel engines. Besides the carefully elaborated short-term results, mostly related to diesel engine, the potential long-term consequences, which include environmental and human health aspects, are also addressed briefly. The topic considered is interdisciplinary and extremely complex, making it very difficult to extract and formulate concise and undeniable conclusions. Nevertheless, an attempt is made to provide a summary of valuable guidelines and an outline of perhaps the most needed activities in the near future.
