Abstract
Pediatric genitourinary tumors exhibit unique genetic alterations, pathogenesis, and prognosis which requires tailored treatment strategies distinct from those of adult tumors. This chapter identifies approaches to the diagnosis, staging, treatment, and surveillance of common pediatric renal, testis and bladder tumors and genitourinary rhabdomyosarcoma. Treatment approaches discussed in this chapter focus on evidence-based guidelines based on cooperative group studies which have been fundamental to improved clinical outcomes. Additionally, common late effects associated with aggressive treatment modalities contributing to considerable comorbidity will be discussed.
