Abstract

This chapter outlines the structure of this Handbook and summarises key points from all of the 36 chapters across the eight sections of the Handbook—these sections cover definitions, disciplinary roots of co-production, different perspectives on co-production, co-commissioning of public services and outcomes, co-design of public services and outcomes, co-delivery of public services and outcomes, co-assessment of public services and outcomes, implementing and scaling co-production in public service organisations and systems, governance of co-production and the future research agenda. Links between the sections and chapters are identified and discussed and key commonalities and points of difference between the authors are highlighted.
