Abstract
Leukemia is the most common form of pediatric cancer. While the majority of other pediatric cancers involve the central nervous system (CNS), there are also a variety of tumors that arise from different parts of the body. This section will review the most common types of non-CNS tumors including leukemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms’ tumor, Ewing sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, and retinoblastoma. Similar to pediatric CNS tumors, treatment strategies for pediatric body tumors continue to evolve as we learn more about molecular markers and targeted novel therapies.
