Abstract
After the images have been created but before the radiologist can interpret them the technologist must perform a number of steps. These might include quality assurance, image post-processing, labeling and annotating, splitting continuously acquired body parts, completing and transferring the images to PACS, and more. Each of these steps can cause delay or may fail entirely. Finally, transmission of images to the electronic archive (PACS) may be subject to error and delay. This chapter describes some of the things that can go wrong, and how to identify and correct them.
