Abstract

In this chapter we are always in Setup A (beginning of Chap. 7). We introduce a polyhedron Δ(J, u) which plays a crucial role in this monograph. It will provide us with useful invariants of singularities of Spec(RJ) (see Chap. 11). It also give us a natural way to transform a (u)-standard base of J into a standard base of J (see Corollary 8.26).
