Abstract
This introduction to Humanistic Management in Practice Vol. II highlights the necessity for business to contribute actively to a more sustainable and more equitable planet. To do so, we are offering the three-stepped approach to humanistic management as an anchor for reflection. The three steps are (1) the unconditional respect for the dignity of life, (2) the integration of ethical reflection in management decisions and (3) the active and ongoing engagement with stakeholders. In the following, this introduction provides a concise overview of the cases presented in this book before closing with a call for action.
