Abstract

Probability and Graph Theory have one important thing in common. They are both major mathematical developments that owe their very existence to frivolous mathematical problems that no “practical man” would deem worthy of consideration. The present chapter offers examples of simple problems of graph theory and attempts to give the flavour of its depth of development in solving these problems.
