Abstract

Build Solid Ground is a project funded by the European Union (EU) Development Education and Awareness Raising (DEAR) program and implemented by a consortium of 14 organisations from seven EU countries. The focus of the project is building critical understanding and active engagement for Sustainable Development Goal 11, “Make cities and human settlements inclusice, safe, resilient and sustainable" (www.habitat.org/build-solid-ground). This chapter investigates the key components necessary to achieve a safe, resilient and sustainable city and community.
