Abstract

Humans are amazing animals. We often compare ourselves to other creatures on our planet to try to define the “one thing that makes us different,” but most of the time, that “unique” trait really isn’t unique. Chimpanzees laugh, orangutans make tools, fish kiss, elephants cry, dogs dream, wolves socialize, ants wage war, termites build massive structures, dolphins talk to each other, birds sing, and crows not only have a higher brain-to-body weight ratio than humans but they can problem-solve almost as intelligently as people do.
