Abstract

In this chapter, I examine the workings of an advocacy group, International Women’s Space, for refugee women. The chapter demonstrates how the group participated in intersectional activism while doing practical solidarity work such as supporting asylum seekers with lawyers’ workshops. It describes the ways in which the grassroots group advocated for refugee women through publications of their testimonies and narratives in three books. This chapter also examines the interplay of participating in support work and doing politics.
