Abstract
This chapter examines theories and key concepts regarding competencies and activity, and emphasizes the importance of the notion of “competencies in action”. It reviews the available models which might depict this concept. This results in developing a new model, the Square of PErceived ACtion model (SPEAC model) by adapting Le Boterf’s model. A comparative analysis with existing models for competencies is provided on the basis of data analysis.
