Retinal histology: (a) its thickness does not vary; (b) the innermost layer is the retinal ganglion cell layer; (c) the outermost layer is also the outermost layer of the neuroretina; (d) Bruch’s membrane is associated with the RPE; (e) the Umbo is in the centre of the fovea.
