Abstract
This chapter discusses the major findings of the whole book, making connections and associations among the three major themes, that is, Chinese immigrant mothers’ adjustment to Canadian schooling, local culture and school system’s impact and influence on their parenting practice, and implications and suggestions for Canadian educators. By drawing upon my research experience in the Sister School project, I give some suggestions on possible ways for facilitating reciprocal learning between Canadian and Chinese cultures. I also reflect upon the challenges faced by reciprocal learning between the two cultures which requires the proper water and soil (shuitu) for it to grow and flourish. What’s more, the exponential growth of Internet is like the sword of Damocles for cultural exchanges.
