Abstract

The ankle joint is one of the most frequently injured joints in the lower extremity. Ultrasound has become increasingly popular in the diagnosis and treatment of ankle injuries and abnormalities. The superficial nature of ligaments, tendon, nerves, and joints allows visualization, diagnosis, and treatment of foot and ankle problems.
