Abstract
Robotic transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) inguinal hernia repair (IHR) is considered analogous to the laparoscopic approach performed with different instruments. Prior experience in minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair is critical for success and the ability to reproduce a high-quality repair. If the well-established steps of TAPP IHR are not adhered to, then postoperative complications could be significant.
