Abstract

Culture has been defined as “an integrated system of learned behaviors which are characteristic of the members of a society and which are not a result of biological inheritance”. Cultural norms are protected and preserved by the deeply discrediting process of the stigmatization and the punishment of those who violate cultural norms.
