Abstract

This chapter explores the figure of Luis Martín-Santos and its relevance in the twenty-first century. After a brief review of the most significant critique on his fictional works, it proposes a new resonance for them that goes beyond their rejection of Francoism based on a patriarchal lens reading wherein hegemonic masculinity is the key factor for this new understanding.
