Abstract
In various fields of humanities and sciences, Stanford University’s role at the center of Silicon Valley in California cannot be overstated. Among the many fields, Stanford’s music department provides a broad education ranging from classical music to jazz and contemporary music, and continues into crossover research in state of the art technology, music, and acoustics.
