SWOT Analysis for Sustainable Development of University Campus in Case Study at WC2 University Network Symposium

Abstract

Article describes an applying SWOT analysis for predesign of project of Polytechnic University Campus. This project was developed during WC2 University Network Symposium 2019, which was held in August, in St. Petersburg. Several international groups of specialists on sustainable development were involved in development of concept. Main task of the project was to design a general concept of sustainable university campus and integrate it into the existing urban environment. The territory of the campus is adjacent to the big residential district, which has its own problems and features. SWOT analysis, adapted for needs of sustainable development, let analyze all advantages and disadvantages of the territory and create a common base for all designed concepts. The final concepts also are represented in the article.
