Abstract
Almost everyone was aware of the hype in 2016 surrounding the mobile phone game “Pokémon Go.” People everywhere were running around the streets staring at their smartphones in order to find and catch the colorful Pokémon. According to the mobile phone display, it appeared as if the virtual creatures were directly there where the player was—like at the bus stop, on the shopping street, or behind the tree in the park. The app introduced the topic of augmented reality (AR) and its uses to the masses after it was downloaded more than a billion times.
