Abstract

The effect of back contact has an important influence on the cell performance of CZTS solar cell. In this paper, a comparative study with and without introduced back interfacial layer by using the one-dimensional SCAPS-1D numerical model has been analyzed and discussed. The aim of introducing an interfacial layer between CZTS/Mo interfaces is to inhibit the formation of the n-MoS2 layer. The back interfacial layer proposed are p-MoS2 and p-MoO3 layers. After comparison, we find that a p-MoO3 interfacial layer with large bandgap is more effective than p-MoS2 layer, which improve the cell performance of CZTS solar cell.
